Keep On Praying

Leah and I seem to be in the same season of life right now. The season of learning to pray and wait and be patient.

Pray. Wait. Patience.

I have to say that it is not my favorite season to be in. It feels like no matter how hard I pray, nothing happens. I am a fairly impatient person, so I want to see results. And in this season I’m not seeing the results like I want to.

Can you relate?

I know that a lot of times it’s hard to see how God is working in the present. It’s when you look back that you see all of the little miracles that He was doing. All the pieces that He was putting together to make something amazing.

We believe that we serve a God that is capable of doing what, to us, seems impossible. He is a mountain mover!

But what if the mountain that needs moving is not my circumstances, but me. As much as I would like some of my current circumstances to be different, I think this season of life is more about me becoming changed. And I’ll be honest, that’s a hard pill to swallow. It would be so much easier for things in my life to change.

It’s not always the easiest to pray prayers that have to do with changing myself. I would much rather pray that things around me change.

I just want to encourage you to remember that we do serve a God who can do the impossible. But we also serve a God who wants to change us.
