Paperclip Page Markers + A Tutorial

Hello friends!

This week I wanted to do a fun post all about paperclip page markers! If you ever wondered how we keep all those colorful tassels and ribbons in our bibles, it’s as simple as a paperclip.

There are so many different things that you can attach to a paperclip and slide on to your page. I’ve used ribbon, twine, scrap fabric, faux leather cording, and other random things I’ve found at the craft store. The sky is really the limit, if you can attach it to a paperclip, it will work!

There are also so many fun shaped paperclips out there! For a while the Target dollar spot constantly had great paperclips, I haven’t paid much attention lately because I currently have more paperclips than I know what to do    with! Michael’s is another good place to look, they often have them in their bargain bins. The fun shaped ones are even great to use without anything attached!

There are a ton of different ways to attach things to your paperclips. Above you can see that I tied faux leather cording in a bow, tied some ribbon in a knot, attached a bow under, and looped some pom pom ribbon around the paperclip. I’ll show you how to do the last one below.

There is so much fun to be had with page markers! It’s really another chance to get creative. Find all those scraps of fabric and ribbon you’ve been hording and put them to good use! Like I said before, the sky is really the limit here, and if you don’t consider yourself a creative person, this is an easy way to start.

So go find some spare paperclips and some ribbon and make yourself some page markers!
