I’m super excited to be sharing a tutorial on how to make a mini devotional flipbook! The Selah devotional kit will be available Monday, March 11th, and can be found in our shop!
Other supplies I used:
Binder Ring
Hole punch
Corner rounder
Double sided tape roller
Washi Tape
Ribbons/strings
Random tags
Making this cute little devotional flipbook is super easy and doesn’t require a ton of supplies. Now, I have to admit that I hoard a lot of craft stuff so it was easy for me to put this together. I save ribbons and string from pretty packages. And I have a problem with buying all sorts of cute tags, even though I hardly use them! I thought this would be a good reason to pull some of this stuff out and actually use it instead of hoarding it for some day that may never come.
I started by printing out all the pages I would need for the flipbook. There are two pages of flipbook starters. Then cut I them out. I left the colored pages with square corners and used my corner rounder punch on the white pages to make them a little different.
Once they are all cut out, I hole punched the upper left corner of all the pages. This will make it so you can attach them all together. To attach them I used a binder ring, but you can also just use ribbon or string. To fancy up my binder ring I put together a collection of ribbons and strings with different colors and textures and then tied it in a knot around it. I think this gives it a little pizazz, like adding a page clip to a bible page.
Now all that’s left to do is put it all together! Decide what order you want your pages in, and then put them on to your binder ring or attach together with ribbon.
That’s it!
Now as you work your way through the devotional, you have a scrappy little booklet to write your thoughts down in.
The best part about this booklet is you can really make it your own! Use whatever you have lying around!
You can also use this tutorial to make a flipbook for anything! Reading through a book of the bible, sermon notes, memory verse cards, One Little Word journaling. So many options! It can also be made in pretty much any size you would like!
